My Dad

I started this portrait last April while visiting my Dad in Hawaii- it only got to the rough state. The other night I attempted to finish- and still have a way to go, but I think I captured a bit of his sparkle. I am inspired by Rose Frantzen .
She set out to paint a town!
I e-mailed Rose and she  kindly gave me her palette- so I bought some new colors!
I am considering painting everyone in my family-hmmmmm- a great idea - not a lot of marketing potential- but it would be so fun!

I think you must have captured his likeness because I can see you in him!!

Sally, this is your best portrait ever. Not only did you capture his looks, but the pleasure with which he looks at you. An altogether outstanding job! Congrats
