Gotts Island ,Maine

On my way back this morning form this remote and beautiful island off Acadia.
It has been a wonderful long weekend of reading, hking, clamming, painting , hanging out and eating.
We were able to help the annual beach cleanup initiative and met some lovely people on the island.
Its getting chilly- time to return.

what is 365 flowers all about?

I started 365 Flowers in late summer of 2009 as a way to motivate and challenge myself to paint everyday, and incorporate flowers into my painting.
I achieved my goal and am still painting , not always flowers, but turn back to them often as a source of inspiration. On January 1, 2013, I joined Lesle Saeta's 30 day challenge and am doing a daily painting on watercolor paper of things I am grateful for. .. I might keep going to 365 as I keep thinking of more things.

Blogging is a wonderful window to the world of other artists and art appreciators and a way to keep in touch. I appreciate all the comments and emails so much- it truly keeps me going!
