16/80 Heifer International, pastel on canson paper, 8" ( ish) by 8"

This was inspired by a brochure from Heifer , International. With gifts of livestock and training they help families improve their nutrition and generate income in sustainable ways. They refer to the animals as "living loans" because in exchange for their livestock and training, families agree to give one of its animal's offspring to another family in need. It's called Passing on the Gift – a cornerstone of their mission that creates an ever-expanding network of hope and peace.

Its a great gift for someone who has everything.

This is a wonderful painting, Sally. I love those brochures, too. Maybe you ought to send it to them and see if they want to put it on the front of their next brochure-it's really beautiful!

thanks Fay!
I loved doing it, but I am afraid it might be too close to the artist they have (:
Might explore this idea though!

This is SO delightful! Looks as though you used the rough side of the Canson; which is what I used to like to do when I worked with pastels. I love your flowing line work as well as your colors!
