Another made up forest scene. I have never had much luck painting from life in the woods, making it up seems to work for now, but I am planning on sitting in the forest soon and giving it a shot. I love the quiet in the deep woods, as long as my dog is with me for protection.

I know what you mean about the difficulty of painting forests from life. I used to set up in my front yard and paint the woods across the road over and over and over again. Your "imaginary" woods really work because of the depth of field you have created. It's wonderful!
