sea turtle and charcoals from my students!

My acrylic 8"x8" from yesterday. I saw the turtle in an old national geographic magazine.I did a lot of scraping and spritzing in the background.

First class in my studio happened last night- here are our charcoals- after a mini lesson on perspective.
The I read them a children's story. These girls ran with it! I set up a still life with two houses and a geranium cutting - look what happened!
                                           Gail's alternate universe...

Kim's topsy turvy world with cozy fire and shining sun

Sarah's creative playful neighborhood- she pulled images from all over the           room...

My still life with banners and tuscan raininess...
It was really fun, we had great conversation and let it just happen.
Like automatic drawing.

What a great group - and a good idea, too! I love how you encourage the whimsy in everyone, too. Let it flow!

Oooh, I love the turtle! It really gives the impression it is under water. Love how there is nice detail in the turtle and the water is more atmosphere.

Your turtle looks kind of like "Super Turtle."
