Gratitude #5

I am a true homebody- I love being able to stay in my house and studio all day. Usually I am the first one up in the morning and painting in the kitchen is lovely- it's so quiet and cozy. We still live in our first house we bought 21 years ago. It's not huge but its plenty big enough now that the kids are mostly not here. Thank you Mary Engelbreit for this- I am a big fan and she inspired me here!

what is 365 flowers all about?

I started 365 Flowers in late summer of 2009 as a way to motivate and challenge myself to paint everyday, and incorporate flowers into my painting.
I achieved my goal and am still painting , not always flowers, but turn back to them often as a source of inspiration. On January 1, 2013, I joined Lesle Saeta's 30 day challenge and am doing a daily painting on watercolor paper of things I am grateful for. .. I might keep going to 365 as I keep thinking of more things.

Blogging is a wonderful window to the world of other artists and art appreciators and a way to keep in touch. I appreciate all the comments and emails so much- it truly keeps me going!
