I planned to drive down to the Audubon today to paint but my daughter is home and I wanted to be here when she got up. I set up in my yard - the light on this tree was pretty. It's a massive shagbark hickory- squirrels love the nuts. It turn a beautiful yellow in the fall and my yard positively glows. I love the dappled light on the trunk. I am super challenged trying to paint the foliage masses.
