I painted this on Saturday as I listened to the newly restored wooden pipe organ at the First Parish Church being played.
It was a rehearsal and I brought my Mom to hear her old friend Jim Brown from Chicago practice for that evenings dedication performance. He plays it like no other.
The sound is sweet, and clear like a wood thrush. It can also be low booming and huge so the whole building vibrates.
Kinda ruins you for electronic organs.
This is the Kent House, the beautiful cape next to the church, on a lovely spring morning.
