Parking lot in Easthampton, MA and Highland Park in Rochester, NY

This 6"x8" oil was done in a parking lot while I waited for my friend Mo to come out of restaurant- she was attending a memorial service.

This 12"x12" oil was done with my friend Carol in lovely Highland Park in Rochester.

The brushwork in the parking lot one is 'just enough' to suggest.
The second one is beautifully composed and well painted. The distance recedes beautifully.

what is 365 flowers all about?

I started 365 Flowers in late summer of 2009 as a way to motivate and challenge myself to paint everyday, and incorporate flowers into my painting.
I achieved my goal and am still painting , not always flowers, but turn back to them often as a source of inspiration. On January 1, 2013, I joined Lesle Saeta's 30 day challenge and am doing a daily painting on watercolor paper of things I am grateful for. .. I might keep going to 365 as I keep thinking of more things.

Blogging is a wonderful window to the world of other artists and art appreciators and a way to keep in touch. I appreciate all the comments and emails so much- it truly keeps me going!
