"It's Not Easy Being Green" 8"x8" oil on panel

It's March! I woke up feeling very green  so I put on a green sweater and green earrings and scarf and painted this bunch of green mums that I got at the supermarket. It was fun to distort the vase. Green is a tough color to paint- it's been said not to use it straight out of the tube, but then again- who says that's wrong? It's all what you like. This green is viridian and cad yellow, and I do love using my turquoise color.
OH! I just realized-
TODAY is my183rd post- I AM  HALFWAY TO 365!
AND, I am giving a painting away on day 200-stay tuned!

I am so NOT irish- but I love green! And I love Ireland but I haven't been there yet- just the idea of it is nice.
maybe its just the craving of spring....or green beer(:

Green flowers! I love it! And I'm almost 3/4 Irish - but don't hold that against me - I'm 1/4 French which tempers it very nicely! I do love March though, because the worst of winter is over, and we frequently see that wonderful 40 degree weather!

Today feels a little springlike and the green is perfect. I'm 1/2 irish.
