Christmas joy

We pick names out of a hat in my husband's family( we are up to 22 including spouses and significant others!) I picked my nephew Keith and his girlfriend Lauren. I swiped a photo from Facebook of them at the Bristol Rhode Island 4th of July parade ( fb is quite convenient!) and painted this portrait of them. I  pretty sure they were pleased- Lauren kept looking at it !
I love giving gifts that are this well received.
It's acrylic-and very challenging -might try an oil portrait next.

Happy busy December

I hope everyone is having a good time during this crazy, busy time. I've been working a lot- all good stuff- at the Museum, helping out at Local Pottery ( and making clay animals) teaching in my studio, running the North River Arts holiday art sale and painting commissions. Not a lot of free time, but am managing also to decorate and shop for the holidays. Yikes.
I will try to be better about posting! ( okay Dad?) LOL

This is a bear in a bikini. Just because it needed to be done.

Little dogs  - a new clay body...

This (below) was a commissioned by the riders husband for her birthday . 22"x 28" acrylic.
I will reveal the other commissioned works after the gift giving happens! No spoilers!
