"J is for Jaguar"

I've been using photos from a site called "Paint my Photo"

It's fun - tons of images-and copyright free- and I can share with the photographers what Ive done. Feels better than swiping from Google...

In other news- the Alden House paint night is next Thursday the 18th  and its $45. for non members. We will paint step by step this image. Its a fundraiser for this beautiful historical landmark. These places need help to continue to be.

"I is for Ibis"

Not too many animals begin with "I" but this beautiful glossy Ibis does! Not sure I've ever seen one.
This is day 10 of the challenge,and I've been in the top 100 posts every day- not that that matters but its  fun to try to my painting finished and posted by 7:30 AM ( I start it the day before usually) - so many people all over the work are doing this. See todays paintings here.

"L is for Loons"

I will return the alphabetical order but I felt I had to skip ahead to the letter. l- I am here by the lake -when in Rome!

The loons on the lake make the most lovely haunting sound. The babies get carried around when they are little.

This photo is way more bluish than the painting- hard to get in  the early morning light out here by the lake in Maine. One more night here- it's been heavenly!

I like the pine needles showing in the photo so I left them!

"E is for Elephant"

On my way up to Maine for a few days- hope I have internet to post my challenges- but if not-you'll see them all when I return!
I was planning doing Ganesha- remover of obstacles for this one- but it was too complex for a daily. Ellie will have to do!
