This one was particularly challenging because I couldn't see the eyes but I love the little mop face.

My friend Sue's other dog. The original is not this blue! It is not easy painting black labs but I loved it! I have a few more on my docket to do…painting the darkness of the coat is like painting what you don't see- tricky...

Sadie

Sadie belongs to my dear friend Sue- she is a wonderful person- gorgeous and talented and funny! She makes up-cycled mittens from old sweaters , beautiful jewelry- an excellent cook and all around fantastic friend. I love that I get to paint her dogs!

Chica

Chica belongs to my friend Katherine. She is a beautiful person both inside and out - she is a yoga teacher and health coach. One of theses days I want to take one of her cooking classes.

"Bailey" and I'm a proud teacher today!

Bailey belongs to my friend Marie- she is the best. Her shop Native brings a lot of life to these parts -- anyone who enters her store is greeted with a genuine "how ya doing!" and the chairs at her counter are often filled with people chatting and laughing and just hanging out. And-of course- shopping for the best stuff!  I am so lucky to know her and have  Marie in my life!

Below are pictures my student- the young and beautiful Sarah McDonough- texted me of her sunflower painting and her  new attic art studio. She is so talented! I am so happy she has created this cozy retreat in her home - she has two very young boys and this will provide the sanity young mothers need  - and all her paintings are gorgeous!

artist inspired watercolor 7" x 22''

This painting was very influenced by two well known south shore artists. This building is also a well known landmark.

I put it on Facebook that the first person to guess  them wins a free print!

I was really inspired by the sighting of the full moon the other night.

Cuneen

This is Cuneen. She's a Duxbury dog. Her Dad is an extraordinary artist and paints amazing watercolors as well as oils and other mediums. Her mom is a colorful, wonderful, creative person who works in fiber and is a teacher. She is from Ireland. Mac has spread joy around these parts like confetti. Everyone loves her. She started a knitting group in Marshfield that is going strong, and is responsible for the knit bombs seen in May at the  North River Arts festival!

Facebook has turned 10 years old and they have these cool movies you can watch of your self! It's sort of narcissistic but that what what I love about it…hee hee.

Westie in the snow!

Here is a happy Westie. It was so fun to paint a shaggy white dog!

Today I woke to a sunny magical winter wonderland. Winnie and I enjoyed a long walk in the woods. I took way too many pictures but every view was a painting.

Im back at the Bay Farm Montessori school in Duxbury completing the world mural with the awesome kids that go there. We are painting Europe , South America and  Antarctica this year. So fun!
