North River Art Festival this weekend!

Every year the festival has a feature where artists are invited to paint or decorate some sort of object- this year it was 20"x20"wooden panels to be raffled off. It raises a lot of money for our awesome art society. The theme is to use a word somewhere in the piece. I chose "fly" for this one - and "naturaleza" for the one below. I can't wait to see them all together at the opening party tonight!
I'm receiving an Honorable mention award for my "Amelia Earhart" mosaic portrait too! Feels good after last years rejection.
The festival is tomorrow and sunday 10-5. Come see the giant puppets we made too! There is a parade at 12 noon on Saturday and 1 PM Sunday.

I very much like how it turned out. Darkening the birds and leaving the beautiful grasses flowing with the script.

Congratulations on your HM.

Your work is beautiful and is often under appreciated.
