Tree #26 Buttonwood Tree in Hingham

I finally got over to paint this tree - a couple of friends had told me about it- it was like I had a date with a tree today. Sat in car, acrylic under, oil over later on this afternoon in the studio.
I am feeling like I'm just starting to get it... just a little!
There were whir spots in the tree- It looked so weird to me I  left them off.
