watercolors from workshop

Last Sunday at the museum we had our first ever "yoga and painting" workshop. The wonderful yoginni Marnie Bacon led the yoga .She played her harmonium and sang to us in her lovely hypnotic voice for the resting pose, sivasana.

I led the painting part- it was a wonderfully creative and restful way to spend a morning.
I cut up sticks from trees around the museum and carved them into drawing pens-we used ink with the sticks to draw on rice paper and then painted with liquid watercolors.
We will be doing it again! By the way- if you are not on the Art Complex mailing list reply to this email and I will get you on it!
These are my pieces- it was fun!
